Many non-musical parents think that they cannot help their children to learn an instrument--that is incorrect. Home practice is ESSENTIAL to success in the band room and students who do not establish good practice habits at home will quickly fall behind in class. Statistically,there is an average 25% difference (2 or more letter grades) in the scores of a student who practices regularly vs. those who never do.
